What is the Rotary Club?

The Rotary Club of Anaconda is the premier service club for our community’s service minded leaders of all ages who enjoy each other’s company, have fun working together, and are committed to the Rotary motto “Service Above Self”.

We seek to recognize, prepare for, and respond to community needs by engaging all members in a variety of activities that will improve the quality of life, first locally, then nationally and internationally.

We proactively improve the conditions of our community, particularly for our children, through social, economic, safety and educational development.

Sharing is Caring

Sharing is Caring was started in 1993 by two former Rotarians, Joan Wilder and Debbie Detonancour, when Toys For Tots was no longer covering Deer Lodge County.

Rotary delivers gifts the Saturday before Christmas to the less fortunate children with help from donations made by many people, organizations and businesses.  With this program and Toys For Tots returning, its almost certain no child in Deer Lodge County will have an unhappy Christmas!  Rotary strives to make sure every child, from 0 – 18, has a present under their Christmas tree!

You can help make a difference in these children’s lives by making your contribution to the Sharing is Caring program, including cash or unwrapped new toys, at any of these locations:  First American Title, Glacier Bank, First Montana Bank, and SWMCFCU all in Anaconda!

Safe Escape

Every day Anaconda families face unspeakable misery and even death as the result of domestic violence. Safe Escape will help those most at risk to escape.

Safe Escape will fill in the gaps of the diminishing social programs that help these families leave violent homes, often with no money and just the clothes on their back. Safe Escape will provide clothing, furniture, school supplies, paper products, help with utilities, travel, dental care, child-care or transportation to a safe environment and more
